Visual Planning with Mr Cox

To ensure a foolproof installation, Mr Cox kindly sketched a simple layout of his existing ceiling grid, clearly marking the positions of his LED recessed lights and the available spaces alongside them.
This visual reference allowed our technical team to verify module compatibility at a glance and confirm the wiring route through the ceiling void.

Background

Mr Cox, the owner of a newly built single‑storey office building, was looking for a heating solution that would combine efficiency, aesthetics, and simplicity – without compromising on comfort.

The Challenge

The building features a modern open‑plan layout with a ceiling height of 2,400 mm. The existing lighting system uses 600×600 mm LED panels, neatly recessed into a suspended ceiling grid. Mr Cox wanted the new heating system to integrate seamlessly with this structure, avoiding bulky radiators or floor‑mounted units that would eat up valuable space.
Key requirements included:
Fit within the same ceiling grid alongside the LED lights
All wiring concealed in the ceiling void
Zone‑based temperature control for different office areas
Long‑term energy cost savings

Our Solution

We proposed our radiant heating panels – ultra‑thin, lightweight, and designed to slot perfectly into standard 600×600 mm ceiling grids. The installation would be clean and unobtrusive, with all electrical connections running through the existing ceiling void alongside the lighting circuits.

Recommended Products

After a thorough site assessment, we recommended our classic white basic panels – a timeless choice that would blend effortlessly with the office’s minimalist décor. Mr Cox agreed, and we supplied 20 units of the 600×600 mm basic panel (360 W each) – exactly the same size as his LED lights, ensuring a perfectly uniform ceiling appearance.
For precise climate management, we advised installing 7 programmable thermostats, each controlling a separate zone. This allows Mr Cox to adjust temperatures independently for meeting rooms, workstations, and breakout areas – eliminating waste and maximising comfort. He readily approved this proposal.

A Personal Touch

As a token of appreciation, we included a custom‑designed infrared heating panel as a complimentary gift. This unique piece features a personalised finish, and Mr Cox was so delighted that he chose to mount it at the very centre of the ceiling – turning a functional element into a subtle design feature.

The Outcome

  • Seamless integration – the panels sit flush with the ceiling grid, indistinguishable from the lighting modules.
  • Ease of use – individual thermostats give Mr Cox full control over each zone’s temperature.
  • Energy efficiency – radiant heating delivers instant warmth with lower running costs compared to conventional systems.
  • Aesthetic harmony – the white finish and custom centrepiece enhance, rather than detract from, the office interior.
Mr Cox now enjoys a warm, comfortable, and cost‑effective working environment – exactly what his new office needed.
